About the place

The tower stands at the end of the Western Path, which climbs from the shore of Lake Ursu through the forest, past the Roșu and Verde lakes and across the valleys cut into the salt mountain. A spiral staircase leads to the top platform.

From the top you get a 360-degree view over the central, eastern and northern parts of town and the hills around. You can also drive up from Privighetorii Street.

Good to know

  • The Western Path is steep in places; bring water and good shoes.
  • The tower is not wheelchair accessible.
  • With small children, or to skip the climb, drive up via Privighetorii Street.
